Sustainability at LSE
LSE’s Sustainability Team (@SustainableLSE) is committed to integrating environmental responsibility into our campus operations, academic programmes and student experience.
Here's some ways you can join in:
LSESU’s Sustainable Societies - these societies are dedicated to a variety of sustainability-issues - such as Sustainable Futures, Circular Economy, Beekeeping and more. Click here to see a full list of the LSESU societies.
Events and workshops – LSE ‘s Sustainability Team organises lots of events, including pop-up markets, clothing upcycling/repair workshops, free bike repairs and Green Week. Stay up-to-date with upcoming events and opportunities via our social media below!
Stay connected – Here’s our Linktree, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and our monthly sustainability newsletter Green Flash. You can always get in touch with us at sustainability.team@lse.ac.uk.
Sustainability Content Creator – At the start of the academic year, we recruit students to create content in the form of social media posts, videos and blog articles. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain first-hand experience in sustainability communications! Keep your eyes peeled on our channels for more info.
Sustainable Halls Campaigner - Lead sustainability efforts on recycling, energy saving, and more through LSE’s collaboration with SOS-UK. Look out here on LSE Halls Life for more info.
Green Impact Auditor - For the Green Impact initiative, staff teams compete to earn points by completing sustainability tasks, then we recruit student auditors to interview the teams on their progress - if you join for the day, you will gain a reference for your CV, a LinkedIn badge and free lunch! Keep your eyes peeled on our channels for more info.
Did you know?
Did you know LSE is home to beehives? Dan Reeves (part of our team) introduces our bees in this short video.
(P.S. did you also know that Zac Efron came to visit our beehives? No seriously! Here’s proof)
