Reasons to attend an LSE Res Life trip

LSE Res Life organizes trips to musicals, comedy shows, gardens, and even to cities outside of London! I went on six Res Life trips this year, including a day trip to Oxford, a night at the Top Secret Comedy Club, a trip to Kew Gardens for the annual orchid festival, and three musicals!

Booking a Res Life trip is easy. You can find out about them in emails from the Res Life team or on this webpage.

You have to be an LSE student living in a student hall to go on the trip. When you register, the form will ask for the name of your hall and your student ID. Bring your LSE student ID to the trip meeting point. Your booking will be stored in the Eventbrite app, so make sure you have it downloaded on your phone before you attend.

At the trip meeting point, look for someone from the Res Life team holding a rainbow umbrella. They will have your tickets and be your point of contact for the trip. If you can’t find them or get lost, check your reminder email and call the number listed. On one of my Res Life trips, I initially went to the wrong entrance, but texted the contact number and was guided to the correct address.

You can book Res Life trips with friends who live in LSE halls, or go on your own and meet some new people along the way. I have done both and always had a good time. The tickets are much cheaper than you would pay for these events on your own, and it’s a great way to see the city with fellow students.
